In conjunction with Black History Month and in honor of Trayvon Martin, Demand Justice presents limited edition collaborative hoodies that show unity with organizations that demand justice in their own way.
It is not only critical to celebrate Black History, but we must create Black Futures. Each organization was selected for its role in creating a positive more equitable world to come.
The design of the hoodies comes from Demand Justice’s jersey hoodie look. The inside of the hood and elbows are adorned with red and green fists. The division of red vs green throughout the design is a representation of unified duality shown in Maxwell Emcays’ Demand Justice art piece.
Emcays feels that “charity does not need to be dull or boring, doing what’s right can be just as fun and engaging as anything else we do on a daily basis”, this is why he felt a need to ensure that these hoodies are not only a statement of altruistic values, but a fashionable one as well.
